Overview
The Park Hyatt occupies a slightly quieter stretch of the island compared to the resort cluster further south, which gives it a more secluded feel. The architecture is low-slung and sand-coloured — not trying to dominate the coastline. The beach is one of the widest and cleanest on Saadiyat.
What sets this hotel apart is the Saadiyat Beach Golf Course. For guests who play, the course is exceptional — a Gary Player design that uses the natural dunes and coastline as obstacles. Non-golfers find it contributes to a sense of space and calm that more compact resort layouts lack.

Maté — The Saadiyat Restaurant Worth Knowing
Maté Abu Dhabi is the only Michelin Guide-listed restaurant currently on Saadiyat Island. The cuisine concept — Argentinian cooking filtered through Lebanese ingredients and technique — sounds like a marketing gimmick but works with real conviction. The short rib empanadas with sumac are remarkable. Book directly through the hotel, at least 48 hours in advance.
Rooms, Suites & Villas
Every room category starts at 50 sqm — this is not a hotel that compromises on space. The villa accommodation delivers private-residence levels of privacy with full hotel services.
Park Room (50 sqm)
The entry category and already generously sized. Every room comes with sea or garden view, private balcony, and a chaise longue for the classic Hyatt lounging experience.
Park Suite (100 sqm)
A full suite with a separate living space. The step up from a room that genuinely feels like a different product.
Park Ocean & Panoramic Ocean Suites
Full ocean-facing suites with integrated kitchen — suitable for longer stays or guests who want genuine apartment-style space.
1 & 2-Bed Villas
Private plunge pools, direct beach access, and the feeling of a private residence with hotel services on call.
Royal Villa
Two private pools, three bedrooms, a full dining terrace and a maid's room. The most expansive accommodation on the island for a private villa experience.
Presidential Suite
Seats 10 at the dining table, with an entertainment centre and full views of the Arabian Gulf.
Dining
Maté Abu Dhabi
A Michelin Guide-listed restaurant blending Argentinian and Lebanese influences. One of the most genuinely interesting cuisine fusions on Saadiyat — book in advance.
Beach House
Italian coastal cooking with an emphasis on fresh seafood. The setting — right on the beach with linen and umbrellas — is the draw as much as the food.
Shala Beach Lounge
The name means "home" in Sanskrit. Nature-inspired cocktails and light bites in a beach setting. Perfect for a slow afternoon.
The Café
The all-day restaurant: international and Middle Eastern dishes from a show kitchen. Excellent for breakfast — the spread is extensive.
The Library
A quiet, book-lined lounge for afternoon tea, specialty coffees, and fresh pastries. The most civilised way to spend a Saadiyat afternoon.
