The Natural History Museum
Begin an extraordinary adventure at the Natural History Museum in Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi.
This stunning building opened on 20th November 2025, inviting visitors of all ages to journey through 13.8 billion years of natural history, paying particular focus to the Arabian Peninsula.
Visitors can step into vast, immersive galleries and encounter awe-inspiring specimens: a near-complete T. rex skeleton named “Stan”, life-sized sauropods roaming the atrium, and the majestic skeleton of a blue whale hovering just above the gallery floor.
The Natural History Museum in Saadiyat Island is an essential stop on your visit to Abu Dhabi.
Getting There
Public Bus (Most Economical)
From Abu Dhabi City: Look for Route 94. It connects the city center (passing through Hamdan Street and the main Bus Station) directly to Saadiyat Island. It stops at major landmarks in the Cultural District.
Local Connector (New): Once on the island, you can use the newly launched Electric ART Bus (Route AR2). This circular route specifically connects the Cultural District landmarks (like the Louvre and the Natural History Museum) and runs daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM approximately every 30 minutes.
2. "Visit Abu Dhabi" Shuttle Bus (Free)
If you are staying at a major hotel, you can likely use the free tourist shuttle service.
Route A1 typically services Saadiyat Island, stopping at the Louvre Abu Dhabi and Manarat Al Saadiyat.
How to use: These buses are free; you usually just need to scan a QR code on board or show a booking confirmation from your hotel.
