Abu Dhabi, December 24, 2014 - Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) hosted celebrated Emirati inventor Adeeb Al Blooshi for a tour of Saadiyat, which included a tour of Louvre Abu Dhabi’s construction site as well as Guggenheim Abu Dhabi’s inaugural exhibition ‘Seeing Through Light’ and Saadiyat Experience, the interactive narrative about Saadiyat’s history and culture, located within Manarat Al Saadiyat, the island’s leading art and culture centre.
Al Blooshi and his father were greeted by His Excellency Ali Majed Al Mansoori, Chairman of TDIC, as well as the company’s senior representatives. As part of the tour, the delegation witnessed Louvre Abu Dhabi’s latest construction milestones, such as its iconic dome resting atop the museum’s four permanent piers. Al Blooshi, who has received commendations from UAE governmental authorities and international organisations, expressed great interest in the development of Saadiyat and Louvre Abu Dhabi. He also voiced his admiration for the island’s transformation into a world-class destination.
