Welcome to the ‘new look’ Saadiyat Newsletter!

In this issue, we’re excited to share with you the latest news on Saadiyat Beach, as it looks forward to welcoming its first residents and hotel guests later this year. The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, and The Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi, developed by Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH), will be the first hotels to open their doors on the island, whilst the first set of completed Saadiyat Beach Villas will welcome Saadiyat’s first residents. These new villas are showcased to the public at Jawaher Al Saadiyat (Saadiyat Beach show villas). Saadiyat Beach is also gearing up for the opening of its first beach club, Monte-Carlo Beach Club Saadiyat, making 2011 the first year that lucky visitors will be able to truly experience a glimpse of what Saadiyat will offer in the future. 

We’re also proud to share the achievements of the Saadiyat Beach Classic 2011, which is our now well established charity golfing event, hosted by icon Gary Player. Following a hugely successful inaugural event in 2010, the Classic returned to the Saadiyat Beach Golf Club in January 2011, when an impressive field of well known personalities from sport and entertainment gathered to raise more than AED 1.9 million for children’s charities. We take an in depth look at the exciting events that surrounded this year’s Classic, rounding off the newsletter with a report on all the milestones that were achieved on Saadiyat during 2010.
