The Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC) is the master developer behind the transformation of Saadiyat Island into one of the world’s most exciting destinations.
Masterplan
Throughout every step of the development process, TDIC, the master developer of Saadiyat Island, is carefully adhering to an environmentally sensitive philosophy.
Working closely with scientific and environmental partners, Saadiyat Island’s natural mangrove forests and turtle habitat will remain protected, and strict guidelines are being followed to ensure developments do not adversely affect the surrounding environment.
Cultural
Saadiyat Cultural District is the region’s biggest arts hub. It includes Zayed National Museum, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, Louvre Abu Dhabi and Performing Arts Centre. This new and exciting destination engages with visitors through a diverse collection of artistic programmes.
Inspired by the dynamic of flight and the feathers of a falcon, the design of the Zayed National Museum reflects Sheikh Zayed’s love of falconry and creates an iconic symbol for the nation.
Hospitality & Leisure
Saadiyat Island is growing into a world class leisure and tourism hub which will showcase Abu Dhabi to the world.
Designed by golfing legend Gary Player, the Saadiyat Beach Golf Club is the regions first beach front course.

Cultural Venues

TDIC currently stages its exhibitions and events in two locations; Manarat Al Saadiyat on Saadiyat Island and Gallery One in Emirates Palace.

Manarat Al Saadiyat
A purpose-built 15,400 metre square artistic venue, Manarat Al Saadiyat has several generous exhibition spaces. These different exhibition halls and the Arts Abu Dhabi Gallery, which houses TDIC exhibitions including Splendours of Mesopotamia, RSTW – From the Private Collection of Larry Gagosian and Disorientation II: The Rise and Fall of Arab Cities. Manarat Al Saadiyat is also the permanent home of The Saadiyat Story – an interactive experience bringing the history and future of Saadiyat to life.

Directions:
From Abu Dhabi’s Mena Port area take Sheikh Khalifa Bridge to Sheikh Khalifa Highway E12 and follow signs to Manarat Al Saadiyat.

From Dubai on the E11 take the exit towards Saadiyat Island/Yas Island. Exit onto to Sheikh Khalifa Highway E12 and follow signs to Saadiyat Island, and then Manarat Al Saadiyat. Once on Saadiyat Island follow the signs to Manarat Al Saadiyat.

Gallery One
Located inside Emirates Palace, a key Abu Dhabi attraction itself, Gallery One is ideally situated to further TDIC’s goal of bringing art to as wide a range of people as possible. Exhibitions that have been held at Gallery One to great critical acclaim include: The Arts of Islam: Treasures of the Nasser D. Khalili Collection, Picasso Abu Dhabi, Emirati Expressions, Talking Art: Louvre Abu Dhabi, The Guggenheim: The Making of a Museum, A Story of Islamic Embroidery, and Opening the Doors: Collecting Middle Eastern Art

Gallery One is open daily from 10 am to 10pm. Visitors wanting to take a tour of Gallery One exhibitions can phone the Visitor Services desk on +971 (0)2 690 8207 to book in advance.
