TDIC’s Cultural Department is preparing the way for the opening of the Saadiyat Cultural District and its cluster of innovative and pioneering cultural institutions in a few years’ time. This is being achieved through a varied and lively programme of exhibitions and events.

Exhibitions
Thus far, exhibitions have covered subjects as diverse as Picasso Abu Dhabi and The Arts of Islam: Treasures of the Nasser D. Khalili Collection. All shows have had in common a supremely high quality of exhibits and beneficial collaborations with renowned museums, collections, galleries and individual collectors.

Events
Accompanying the exhibitions are public programmes designed to inspire and educate audiences, drawing them into a deeper understanding and greater appreciation of art. Broad in scope and targeting all ages, events typically surrounding exhibitions include art workshops, film screenings, talks, panel discussions and concerts.

Abu Dhabi Art
Organised by TDIC and ADACH, Abu Dhabi Art is an annual modern and contemporary art platform attracting leading galleries, curators, art dealers and visitors from all over the world. More than an art fair, Abu Dhabi Art’s combination of exhibitions, talks, workshops and performances make it a unique event on the international art calendar, an opportunity for diverse cultures to build bridges and find common ground through art.
