Denis O’Connor is responsible for managing the operations of TDIC’s tourism and hospitality assets, from the third-party asset-managed hotels and golf clubs, to the variety of the company’s managed businesses.
Denis previously worked as the General Manager of Abu Dhabi Commercial Properties, where he had an extensive portfolio of more than 3,000 buildings and a team of 200 staff. Prior to that, he worked at Irish Estates, where he was CEO from 2004 – 2007.
Born in Ireland, Denis has a wealth of experience working in property fund management, commercial property, shopping centres, offices, and industrial and mixed-use developments. He has also worked on the development of green and brown field projects, right through the chain to disposal and long-term management.
Denis is a General Practice Chartered Surveyor with over 15 years PQE in all areas of commercial property, practicing since 1995 in Dublin, Belfast, London, France, USA, Romania, India, Malaysia, Hong Kong and the UAE. He is also a member of the Royal Institute of Charted Surveyors, the Irish Auctioneers and Valuers Institute, an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and a council member of the Irish Property and Facility Managers Association.
