Manarat Al Saadiyat

Literally meaning “a place that provides enlightenment” in Arabic, Manarat Al Saadiyat is a purpose-built 15,400 sqm visitor centre, designed to bring the vision of the island alive. Located on Saadiyat Island, this exciting artistic venue will house international exhibitions from around the world, and will encompass four major galleries, a central events gallery, sales centre, 250-seat theatre, and restaurant. The first phase of the building that included Arts Abu Dhabi Gallery opened to the public in November 2009.
The main galleries of Manarat Al Saadiyat:
- The Saadiyat Story - This interactive experience centre will bring alive the historical and cultural vision behind Saadiyat Island as well as its future plans. Now Open!
- Arts Abu Dhabi Gallery - a permanent space for a series of exhibitions and educational programmes organised by TDIC, opened in November 2009 with its inaugural exhibition called Disorientation II. This is part of an ongoing cultural programme dedicated to developing awareness and understanding of art and culture prior to the launch of the Cultural District. - Contemporary Gallery – Due to open late 2010, this gallery is dedicated to the contemporary arts
- Louvre Abu Dhabi Gallery - An exploration of the universal arts, this gallery is also scheduled to open in late 2010
- Central Events Gallery – a multi-purpose events space for hosting Manarat Al Saadiyat’s special events calendar.

From Abu Dhabi - From Mena (port) area take Sheikh Khalifa bridge to Sheikh Khalifa Highway E12 and follow signs to Manarat Al Saadiyat.
From Dubai - Travelling on the E11 - Take the exit towards Saadiyat Island/Yas Island. Exit onto to Sheikh Khalifa Highway E12 and follow signs to Saadiyat Island, and then Manarat Al Saadiyat. Enter Saadiyat Island. Follow the signs to Manarat Al Saadiyat.
